IRA Bombings in 1974
Bulan Mei 1974, terjadi insiden ledakan bom di kota Dublin &
Monaghan, Republik Irlandia, yg mengakibatkan tewasnya 33 orang &
melukai ratusan orang lainnya. Aksi pengeboman tersebut juga
disebut-sebut sebagai aksi pengeboman dalam satu peristiwa yg paling
banyak mengakibatkan korban selama The Troubles. Agak ironis mengetahui
bahwa insiden yg memakan korban sebesar itu dalam satu peristiwa justru
terjadi di luar wilayah konflik yg sebenarnya (baca : Irlandia Utara).
Tidak ada yg mengaku bertanggung jawab dalam insiden tersebut sebelum
kelompok loyalis UVF mengaku pada tahun 1993 bahwa mereka yg melakukan
aksi pengeboman tersebut.
